Meet Ali!
This poor guy was found by a wonderful lady who works with The Mustard Seed Charity of Central Florida. With him being a stray, not much is known about his past. But one thing was very obvious. This sweet soul had been abused. Given the scars that pepper his body and an ear that is split in the middle he was used as part of a fighting ring. Whether as fighter or bait dog, he was forced to endure unimaginable pain. Of course you would never know it by his personality! He is the biggest teddy bear. Ali LOVES children and would like nothing more than to spend his day sleeping on the couch. He has passed his temperament testing with flying colors. There is one thing he does NOT like and that is cats. He has done well around dogs who show no aggression. However, given his past Ali would probably thrive best in a single dog household or with another middle/large breed submissive dog. He has some work to do before he becomes available for adoption. Ali is heartworm positive. His treatment will be completed and he will be neutered prior to finding his forever home. We are taking applications on him in the meantime. Due to his previous life, we will be very careful in screening his future parents!
Ali's adoption fee will be $100 and a home check is required.
*If anyone would like to sponsor or make a donation towards Ali's heartworm treatment, PAYPAL donations can be made to [email protected] or mailed to Central Florida Pit Bull Rescue at P.O. Box 322 Clarcona, FL 32710. Info on how to make donation directly to the animal hospial will be posted soon.*

Ali (before pic)
Just look at the before and after pics. Ali does have a unique appearance. The amount of scars on him is almost to much to take. Keeping him clean is a little trick to miniumizing the appearance of his scars. Once he starts to get a little dirty those scars stand out badly. The above pic is him fresh from a bath...what a handsome boy! The pic to the left is the day he was found. Heartbreaking. Please look past his appearance and see what a gentle soul this big baby is!
Meet Kat!
She's a beautiful 2 year old Bull Terrier. She is spayed and UTD on vaccines. She does well with other male dogs and submissive females. She is great with kids - it seems like she was raised with children and the foster family kids are always playing with her! She does NOT get along with cats though. So no feline friends for Kat! LOL! She was rescued from the Osceola County Animal Services in October/November 2010. Her foster family loves her but due to personal issues they are no longer able to foster her. If you can offer this beautiful girl a forever home, please contact Jessic at 813-690-2288 or [email protected] for more info regarding adoption procedures.
Meet Regal! *UPDATE! REGAL HAS BEEN ADOPTED!*
He's 1+ year old very healthy, neutered male brindle boy! Current on vaccination and heart guard protection.
He is an inside dog as well as an outside dog here. He knows how to use doggie doors! He does not use the bathroom in the house; he clearly knows this is an outside event! He knows how to walk with a leash and heel. He is HOUSE NON-DESTRUCTIVE - an excellent trait! He is not feed from the table so he does not beg for your food. He eats at will, so leaving a bowl of dog food and water out works! He is a gentle mouth with food, treats, and kisses.
He knows and understands the following: sit & lay down, off, enough, down, not yours & heel, time for bed and point and he goes to his to his bed, outside toy & get your toy.
His command to come is a whistle & or Hand clap. He is also not a barking dog and does not get on the furniture. He knows how to swim too! He gets along well with other non-dominate dogs and people of any age. He is a very loving and affectionate dog! He is entirely NON-AGGRESSIVE
He will on command maintain a 4-5 feet distance from the door and sit while you greet guests.
If you are interested in this handsome boy, please contact his current fosters for adoption information and more pictures!

A Senior Looking for Love!
The SPCA of Central Florida are a great bunch of people and they are very pit friendly. I always try to help them out. This girl has been there for a while and would really love to be sleeping on a comfy sofa or in a bed. Please don't let her age discourage you.
Baby Girl: Hi, I’m Baby Girl! I am a 7 year old Pit mix who came to the SPCA on 1/5/11 when the land lord said I could no longer stay. I am good with other dogs, cats and with kids plus I am housebroken! Wow! I will be spayed before going home with you. I love belly rubs and am very well behaved. My ID# is 171158.
Shelter: Orlando

The Piedmont Pittie!
Talk about a cutie pie. This sweet little pit mix is about 1.5 years old and is at the Piedmont Animal Hospital in Apopka. She came in with her rear left leg broken. It's been pinned and she's healing nicely. She is super loving and is ready for a forever home. She will be spayed prior to leaving and is up to date on all her vaccines. My ten year old son met her for the first time today and she gave him plenty of kisses. So she's kid approved! If you'd like more info please call the friendly staff at 407-880-7387.
Gypsy and the pups!
Gypsy and her beautiful six puppies were rescued from Orange County Animal Control 11 weeks ago only hours before the entire family was scheduled to be euthanized. The puppies were only 8 days old when they were rescued. Since then they have been cared for, received all necessary medical attention at Winter Park Animal Hospital (including deworming, first, second and third set of shots, flea prevention) and have been loved with every bit of their foster mommies’ hearts! They are also in the beginning stages of potty training. It is now time the puppies and Gypsy to find their forever homes. The puppies are 12 weeks old, have so much love to give, and have overcome all the odds that were ahead of them from the moment they were born. We are not sure exactly what kind of dogs they are, but we believe they are mixed with pit bull. I cannot express how sweet these little ones are. They are going to need training and lots of love! Please call Sarah at 407-920-5140 if you are interested in receiving more information on these remarkable puppies. As for the momma, Gypsy, she is looking for her forever home too. She is currently doing HWT. Once she gets a clean bill of health, she'll be ready for new family. Please contact Sarah if you'd like to offer a member of this family a forever home. Sarah has lots of beautiful pics. I tried uploading them but there is a glitch somewhere and it's not allowing me.
I Rescued a Human Today
Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her. I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn't be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from the little accident I had in the back of my cage.. I didn't want her to know I hadn't been walked today. Sometimes the shelter keepers get too busy and I didn't want her to think poorly of them.
As she read my kennel card I hoped she wouldn't feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and make a difference in someone's life.
She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.
Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms.
I would promise to always be by her side!
I would promise to keep her safe!
I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes!
I was SO,SO fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven't walked the corridors. So many more to be saved.
